No More Amniotic Fluid And BP Started To Rise

This patient’s pregnancy went 4 days beyond her expected date of delivery. It is not yet considered a post-term pregnancy since the latter is defined as a pregnancy that extends beyond 42 weeks but this pregnancy was only 40 weeks and 4 days. Yet, the amniotic fluid dropped suddenly (a condition called oligohydramnios. The cervix was still closed and we tried to induce labor, but the heartbeat started to drop so we needed to do an emergency C-section. Oligohydramnios, meconium staining and variable decelerations of the baby’s heartbeat are caused by hypoxia, a drop in the oxygen level of the baby. In this case, the probable cause was the constriction of the blood vessels, reducing the blood flow in the placenta. In fact, after delivery, the mom’s blood pressure started to rise and was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia.

Dominique Cerqueda

Age: 42 years old

I recently had a Robotic Hysterectomy with Dra.Singson last Feb.12, 2022 because of a 13cm myoma that was causing me heavy bleeding during my monthly cycles. On the day of the surgery, all the nurses put me at ease, and though the surgery was a difficult one, because of Dra.Singson’s expertise, knowledge, & quick decision-making, everything went well.

I woke up in the recovery room with the best staff and nurses attending to me. I was walking by the next day and left after only 2 nights in the hospital. After 1 week, I am now able to walk outside and do light errands by myself. I am amazed at my quick recovery.

I’m glad Dra.Singson explained to me the advantages of Robotic Surgery, the faster healing and recovery time, which has all turned out for the best. I think she’s a doctor with years of experience plus a modern way of thinking. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a competent OB-GYN. Her clinic staff are also very caring, friendly, and accommodating.

Genital Warts Is A Sexually Transmitted Disease

Genital warts are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) and are therefore transmitted sexually or through contaminated vaginal probes during a vaginal ultrasound.

They look like small flesh-colored, pink or red growths in or around the sex organs. The warts may look similar to the small parts of a cauliflower, or they may be very tiny and hard to see. They tend to appear in the groin, on and around the genitals, in the urethra, or in the rectum or anus. In women, they may also appear in the vaginal canal, or cervix. Women are often unaware of warts inside the vagina or on the cervix like this patient.

If small, one can treat with Imiquimod Cream every other day for 5 days. But if fungating or widely spread, they need to be excised and/or cauterized.

This baby girl weighed 3.3 kilos and had such a big head I could not get her out through my usual 12 cm incision! I had to extend to 15 cm for her head to come out!

Abnormal vaginal bleeding in a patient over 35 should be investigated with hysteroscopy and endometrial curettage
